Thorpe Farm, a corporate day out with a difference... you can enjoy one of the largest and most impressive falconry centre's in the north of England. Working in partnership with Ridgeside Falconry, who are well known in the area for their outside falconry displays. Their professionalism has helped us to create one of the most stunning centre's in the country. Down by the lakeside you will find the picturesque aviaries containing magnificent birds from around the world including the Ruppels Griffin Vulture with an enormous wingspan of 7ft. Other birds include Turkey vultures, Lanner Falcons, Tawny Owls, Perigrine falcons, European Eagle Owls and many more! |
|
The activities at Thorpe Farm are based outdoors with a falconry bird display and Wetlands nature reserve - home to many wild birds. A bird hid is operational from Spring 2008 for 'twitchers' to get closer to the birds. Special Features... With a bistro on site, a day visiting the birds then a meal prepared from many local ingredients makes this a works event with a difference. |
